British Section alumnus William Pike is the 2018 Junior Recurve World Archery Field champion.
At the 2018 World Archery Field Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, William beat competitors from Romania, Croatia, America and Slovenia to reach the gold medal match where he beat Dutchman Willem Bakker to win the title. While still a student at the British Section, William competed as an archer at a national level in France, becoming vice-champion of France in the U21 category for Olympic-style shooting in 2017. After the OIB, William went on to Warwick university where he joined the uni archery club and quickly progressed to compete with the Archery GB team. Congratulations William!
